The Big N reveals their newest cash-in peripheral, Wiispeak. Rather than bundling it with Animal Crossing, the first game to support the peripheral, it’s being sold separately for $30.

Now let’s add up the cost of every peripheral Nintendo is selling, which one would automatically assume a normal Nintendo customer would buy.

Wii console w/ Remote + Nunchuck = $250
Additional Remotes + Nunchucks for added players = $40 per Remote, $30 per Nunchuck
Classic Controller = $25
Wii Zapper w/ Link’s Crossbow Training = $30
Wii Wheel w/ Mario Kart = $80, $15 per extra Wheel
Wii Speak = $30
Wii Fit w/ Balance Board = $150+
First Party Nintendo Wii Game = $50+

Somehow, the $500 for a PS3 or the $450 for the Xbox 360 Elite bundle doesn’t seem so expensive anymore…
